White Community Hall is a sweet old rural meeting hall. I am happy to see so many of them begin to be used again! I loved the lighting challenge of this piece, and its serenity. Dappled light has been a particular obsession of mine for many years. Its tricky to paint statically, something that moved in the gentlest of breezes. Depicting dappled light through trees requires a sense of the abstract, but must be based in realism to be read easily. What fun!
