Images of the Madawaska

Recently I was asked to be a part of an exhibit at South of 60 Arts Centre in Barrys Bay Ontario, regarding the Madawaska and Bonnechere River watersheds. Since water features prominently in some of my work, I took up the challenge. Instead of creating my usual stone and water images, I wanted to look at the rivers in a new way. I live across from the Madawaska and she has been part of my life for the past five years now. I love her, she is deep and dark, she flows with strength and purpose. I love the way the spring waterfalls show up crating into her with urgency….
